A Bit of History
iPerintis Sdn. Bhd. (iPerintis) was established in 2000 and is today a company employing over 1,000 people, with offices in 17 locations in Malaysia and presence in 16 international projects. We are a Malaysia MSC-Status company. Our core business involves end-to-end ICT services and solutions for Petronas Group of Companies.
During the first dot-com era during the 1990s, the concept of e-business enabled the vision of international commerce to be conducted on the Internet and in a secure environment and in real-time. Apart from online commerce, the business world envisioned that they would be able to service their customers and work with their business partners with higher efficiency and increased effectiveness than before.
iPerintis' initial task, mirroring this ambitious time, was to develop new e-Business models and opportunities for PETRONAS, while leveraging on its Oil and Gas assets and resources. This culminates in iPerintis' transformation in 2004, which saw iPerintis take on the end-to-end management of all Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Services under the PETRONAS environment.
The objective behind this transformation exercise was to enable PETRONAS to focus on their core business, while allowing iPerintis to concentrate on what they do best – the management of end-to-end ICT service, as well as ICT-related consulting services. Since August 2012, iPerintis became a 100%-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS. This shareholding change allows us to align our initiatives with the PETRONAS Group's business priorities and position ourselves as the internal ICT arm of the PETRONAS Group. Our vision is to deliver high value solutions and world class ICT services to the PETRONAS Group of Companies.
